The Path of the Gods
The Path of the Gods
Excursion “The Path of the Gods”: literally translated as the’ Gods path’, was not named accidentally by the locals. In fact, it offers a splendid view of the coastal and mountain landscapes from Positano to Capri. Walk along a path that climbs about 500 meters above sea level between rocky passages, Mediterranean scrub, oak woods and terraces cut into the steep slopes. The route is about 7 km long (up to Nocelle). It takes about 3 hours, walking along an easy path overlooking the sea. If you pay attention to the signs you will find it easy to reach the hamlet of Nocelle (420 m).
The more popular area to begin the Path of the Gods, also known as Il Sentiero degli Dei, is in Bomerano, a small section of the Agerola comune. Easily reached by bus, you merely get off at the Bomerano stop and follow designated signs that will guide you to the trailhead.
